Hi, I’m Jess.

I spent 10 years in corporate communications when flowers found me in the fall of 2018. After four and a half years of operating out of my home, Gather Flower Studio opened its doors to the public at the Historical Latta Arcade in Charlotte, North Carolina this spring.

With a drive to showcase local flowers and offer a truly unique floral experience we were welcomed with open arms. When you book us for an event, build a bouquet, pick-up the perfect arrangement, take a class or simply peruse the shop you also discover a space of connection.

I often hear people say it’s like coming to therapy and walking away with flowers. You leave filled with joy. Feeling renewed. Calm. It’s my honor to fill your cup inside the walls of our humble studio.

A little about me.

I am 37 and currently live with my two pups, Lucky and Josie. I relocated to Charlotte, NC in 2020 after living most of my life in Northeast Ohio. I move through life in sync with nature; deriving all actions in love. I believe in universal timing, detachment and the idea that all we experience in life is a gift. In my spare time you’ll find me at the farmer’s market or hiking.. I’m a sucker for ice cream and good denim. A few flowers I love are lilacs, lily of the valley and tulips.

It is these foundations from which I grow all aspects of Gather.

intention

Be it a single violet picked from the park or a well-crafted bouquet; flowers hold so much value in their sentiment. It is this thought of intention that drives all design, interaction and collaboration.

Sustainability

The Earth provides the bounty from which my arrangements are made. My deep respect for our Earth and for farmers is why I work hard to reduce waste from the studio. It is why I ferociously strive to source flowers from local farmers as they are in season.

community

I believe in the value of uplifting those near us. That both leadership and unity are found in service. There is so much light to be found in the moments where people Gather together.
